Skiing and Snowboarding Lessons at Willamette Pass

Whether you’re a novice looking for a firm foundation on those skinny little boards, an intermediate trying to master bumps or powder or an advanced skier/rider aiming to turn a 360 into a 540, we have a lesson designed to fit you. Our experienced instructors are Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) certified and trained to get you safely up to speed. But best of all, they are snowsport enthusiasts who communicate their love of the sport at all levels. They’re here to help.

Our motto is, keep it fun. Everyone has heard tales of people to haul their friends to the top of the mountain on their first trip and laugh at the spills and terror instilled on this initiation to snowsports. We want to put an end to those experiences. At Willamette Pass we want your first time skiing or snowboarding to be so much fun that we hook you for life. So we offer a First Timer package that includes a lower mountain lift ticket, rentals, and lesson for less than the cost of a lift ticket and rentals. Go figure. We really want to get you started out right.

Class in the Cascades

For years school groups have been making skiing at Willamette Pass part of their winter experience. Many local schools have even included several weeks of ski classes into their winter schedule. This year we hope that teachers, parents, and of course kids in grades 3rd-6th will consider our “Class in the Cascades” program. Based on our years of experience we have organized a program that will bring skiing into the classroom and bring your classroom to the slopes. We have many mid-week days scheduled for elementary school classes to enjoy a day of lessons, and fun, with special sessions on ski area ecology, safety, and forest service information. We can assist teachers with information to include in your classroom studies before you visit us, educators from our staff and the U.S. Forest Service who will make it a special day.
